PRESIDENT - BENNCO ADVISORS
Brian Bennett has 50 years’ experience in the financial markets. He began his career in
1976 and was employed for 15 years as a broker with major national and regional
investment brokerage firms. In 1991he found an opportunity to join an independent
broker dealer, which at that time was an industry innovation. This allowed him to
operate independently in his client’s interest without the ethical conflicts of home office
sales quotas and company investment mandates. He then could transition from an
investment “sales culture,” to a “consultative problem solving” culture. He created
BennCo Advisors, a registered investment advisor (RIA) in 1998.
Unique insights into the investment process of large institutions were acquired while
serving as a trustee for the $30 million Colorado Episcopal Foundation, and as a
member of the Regis University Investment Oversight Committee, managing their $90
Million endowment.
Extensive investing experience has led creation of customized retirement income
portfolios that produce actual investment income, protecting principal without selling
assets. This “live on the interest and not the principal” contrasts with the large
institutional firms who develop retirement portfolios with “withdrawal rates” requiring
systematic liquidation of portfolio assets, hoping that the investors won’t outlive their
capital.
He has also had experience in real estate development and as an investor. In the
process he has learned about the benefits of tax deferral using rule 1031, allowing “like
kind” exchanges. He has gained depth knowledge of the Delaware Statutory Trust
(DST) structure and helps investors to exchange diversify investments in “turn-key”
professionally managed properties. With the proliferation of syndicated exchange
programs with little or no vetting or due diligence, Brian helps clients assess and
mitigate these risks.
As an active community volunteer, he has served as chair of the Better Business
Bureau, the BBB Foundation, President of the Cathedral Ridge Camp and Retreat
Center in Woodland Park, Colorado, and is a member of the Rotary Club of East
Colorado Springs.
As members of Chapel or our Saviour Episcopal Church, he and his wife Becky
conceived and organized the Feast of Saint Arnold, “Colorado’s Family Friendly Beer
Festival,” which has raised over $400,000 for charity since 2012.
He and Becky have been married for 28 years and with their blended family have 6
grandchildren. Hobbies include cooking, entertaining at home, and wine and craft beer tasting.

Not to mention, we got free dinner. I truly think everyone would benefit from attending this event, regardless of your age! Your future self and family will thank you."
"Paul, his associates, paralegals, and other support staff provided an excellent experience during our estate planning process. They walked us through every step of identifying assets, prepared incredible documentation, and have even continued to follow up to ensure we're taking all necessary steps post formation of our estate. We feel cared for and protected with Mason Law & Planning. You will too."
Our dinner seminars usually runs 60-90 minutes and is presented while you are having dinner.
No, this event is complimentary and includes dinner. You will not be asked to buy anything at this event.
Well, that varies based on the complexities of your situation. Unlike other estate planning attorneys who charge $350-$450 per hour, we charge a flat fee. We provide a complimentary initial consultation and then will provide you with a flat fee quote to prepare your estate plan.
Many people who attend our workshops already have some type of estate planning in place. They should use our dinner seminar as an opportunity to re-evaluate their choices or to feel more confident that their existing plan will fully protect them.
